Shining PR Stars

About a month ago, I spent six hours in a classroom at MSVU and was reminded of the wonderful things that can happen when you give people a chance to get creative. I was there because three classes of second year public relations students were tasked with creating two public service announcements about Bust a Move.

The parameters? Take whatever angle you want, don't quote facts or statistics you can't prove, and come up with something you think will grab the attention of radio listeners from one tip of our province to the other. In short, create something that will help the Bust a Move team achieve their objectives around awareness, participation and fundraising.

The results? Pure gold. In the form of 42 original, creatively executed PSAs that covered everything from short shorts to the "freshman fifteen", from rhyming jingles to talking boobs and mammography equipment, from heartfelt messages to courageous stories of survival... these young PR stars covered it all!

The bad  news is that we couldn't possible choose them all. So instead, we chose four that we're sending around to all radio stations in Nova Scotia this month. One of the most original tracks was shared with us by video, too. It's so fun, I just had to share it.

Cute, right?!
