BMO Salutes History in the Making

This one is a must see! Kudos to Revolve and BMO Financial Group (two wonderfully supportive Bust a Move sponsors!) for teaming up with EGG films to create this one:

We Did It!

Bust a Move for Breast Health
Buying Life-Saving Equipment & Setting a Pair of World Records!

On January 30, 2010, the Halifax Metro Centre was buzzing with the energy of more than 1,000 participants and volunteers, united for the inaugural Bust a Move for Breast Health. Led through six hours of exercise by the province's top fitness instructors and the incomparable Richard Simmons, participants spent the day challenging themselves and celebrating their fundraising success. They even set two GUINNESS WORLD RECORD records® for the most people hugging simultaneously and the longest massage chain - a Nova Scotia first!

In total, $1,143,169.11 (net) was raised! The new digital mammography equipment that will be purchased with these funds will help save lives by detecting cancer in its earliest stage, reducing waiting times and increasing the number of screens that can be completed each year. Thanks to Bust a Move's donors, participants, sponsors and volunteers for coming together to make a huge impact in the lives of Nova Scotia women and their families.

General donations will continue to be accepted until Feburary 15, 2010.

Cheers & Encouragement Welcome

The day we've been working toward for months has almost arrived: Saturday, January 30th and the inaugural Bust a Move for Breast Health event!

Aside from the more than 1,000 participants and volunteers who are expected to be in attendance, the doors of the Halifax Metro Centre are open to all! That's right, the event is open to the public and there is plenty of room!

Drop in anytime between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. to cheer on participants and take in a spectacular show of lights, music, video, grooves and moves. It is guaranteed to be an experience unlike any other.

There is no admission fee, although donations will be accepted at the door.

The Bust a Move team hopes to see many of you there!

P.S. You'll want to arrive by 4:30 to get comfortable in your seat before the finale hour with Richard Simmons.
