You can raise $1,000! Just ask Wendy Bauer.

A common worry we hear at the Bust a Move office is “I can’t raise $1000.” We reassure every participant that we are there with them every step of the way – but sometimes, it takes more than our reassurance. Sometimes, it takes someone else paving the road and beating their odds to encourage people and show them that they can do what seems impossible. It takes someone like Bust a Move participant, Wendy Bauer.

Despite her fears that she wouldn’t be able to meet her goal, Wendy signed up for Bust a Move. Within 15 days she had already exceeded her goal, raising $1,200. Here's her story.

"Have fun with it. Don't make it a hard thing like I did at first. Once you start having fun with it, people see that, and react to it."
Since we interviewed Wendy for this video, she's raised another $330 bringing her total to $1530, with more fundraising to come. So if you’re doubting yourself and your ability to raise $1000 – look for Wendy in her blue porter’s uniform at the QEII and ask her for some tips. She’s a very friendly lady with a big heart, and we’re sure she would be more than happy to help you out!
